Do corals grow better under LED lighting? Yes, LEDs do grow coral - just ask our experts at LiveAquaria.com! They have been using LED lighting for quite some time now over our coral tanks with amazing results. Do LEDs bring out coloration in fish? The specific spectrums provided by LED lighting can bring out colors in certain fish like you've never seen before. Check out these handy color guides to figure out which color is best for your fish: Freshwater or Saltwater. Can LED lighting make corals look better? If you've been looking for the magic light to really bring out the colors in your coral, select units with light output in the actinic royal blue range. This will really make the colors in your coral stand out! And if you have soft polyp corals and zoanthids, mix a little magenta to pump up the purples, greens and orange colors! Can LEDs harm your corals? LED lights can be very intense and sudden changes in light brightness can cause some corals to expel their zooxanthellae and "burn" or "bleach white." It's vitally important to slowly acclimate your corals to new LED lights and our Coral Acclimation Guide will walk you through the steps.

Certain fish species can experience enhanced growth with the right lighting conditions, affecting their metabolic rates and other vital processes. Light can dictate sleep patterns, breeding behavior, and overall well-being in fish. The correct lighting can stimulate fish's natural behavior and promote their growth. By mimicking the light conditions of their natural habitats, we can optimize their health and vitality. Different fish species have unique light requirements that reflect their natural environments. Light acts as a source of energy for plants and algae in the aquarium. A well-balanced light condition is important to support photosynthesis, which in turn contributes to the health of the entire aquarium. The color spectrum of the light source can influence the appearance and health of fish and plants.

LED fish tank lighting is more energy efficient, costing about 80% less than older fluorescent lights and is preferable for fish health since it doesn't give off potentially harmful heat that can alter the condition of the water. LED lights are a great way to boost aquascaping plant growth, keep your fish happy, and promote beneficial oxygen levels aquatic species need to thrive. If you have aquarium planting, coral or any fish species, LED lights protect the ecosystem's delicate balance. Most fish and aquarium plants thrive when their fish tank lights are left on for ten to twelve hours a day. Starting with a small nano tank. We'd recommend our Small Aquarium LED Light for smaller tropical and planted tanks, creating just the right amount of fish tank lighting without increasing the water temperature.

Yes certainly they do especially the RGB when it changes the tones the fish can feel it and will definitely put them in stress. I suggest to keep it white. I know that if lights flash they think it's a storm and go into hiding and stress so I'd imagine it's the same for changing colour quickly. But if it a led fixture with a 24/7 mode or one that lets you customize the spectrum it is fine. Most fish get used to our fixtures over time.
